Snowmass Alpacas represents quality, and Amber is no exception. Her Grandsire is Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, the extremely prominent rose grey son of Peruvian Bueno. Casanova was Herdsire of the Year in 2003, and went on to sire Snowmass Nova, who became Herdsire of the Year in 2005. Amber's sire is also a Snowmass male, Snowmass Incan Alpamayo.
We are impressed with Amber not only with her softness and flawless conformation, but by the fact that her pedigree records no less than eight of her ancestors sporting grey fleeces. Bred to grey, there is an outstanding liklihood of a grey cria out of this gorgeous female. Amber's 2009 histogram at age three reports a micron average of just 22 microns--wonderful fineness for brown at this age.
Amber's exceptional price includes her re-breeding in the Spring of 2010 to any of the males at the Alpaca Hacienda, and we guarantee a female cria from the breeding or we will rebreed at no charge. Please see our Breeding Policy for details. Come visit Amber today, meet her lovely light fawn daughter and feel her exceptional softness. We know you'll want to take her home!
