When we considered adding another herdsire/impact male to our herd, Crescent Moon Ranch was where we wanted to look. It was there we laid eyes on Icon, and couldn't stop looking. His presence in the pasture and perfect conformation had us mesmerized from the start, and we knew we had to bring him to the Hacienda to offer his outstanding genetics in Southern California.
Icon's fleece is simply stunning: Long staple length, soft as butter, beautifully crimped and bundled. He is a Multi-Blue Ribbon winner which alone speaks volumes about him, but quite arguably his best accomplishment was taking 2nd place at the fiercely competitive 2005 Futurity Show & Sale.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of his sire, Legacy, but are grateful to have these sought-after and rare genetics available in our own breeding program as well as to offer to our clients.
Icon's first cria has arrived and is aptly named Legend, in honor of his sire and grandsire before him. Legend is a true knockout, and an unquestionable "chip off the ol' block." We anticipate an exciting show career for this young male, who is beautifully fleeced and is exhibiting his sire's compact and perfect conformation. Very soon two more Icon crias will be arriving, and we couldn't be more pleased.
Crescent Moon's Icon is available now for outside breedings, limited to ten per year to retain value and rarity of these genetics. On site, mobile and drive-by breedings can be arranged, with discounts for drive-by breedings and multiple breedings. Please see our Breeding Policy for details.
